Another Silly Meme

Im just being lazy and filling the space until I get time to write something more substantive. But I saw this here and here and figured Id give it a try.

And yeah, theres some truth to it, except this guy looks nothing like me.

The Boy Next Door
Random Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDm)

Kind, yearning, playful, you are The Boy Next Door. You’re looking for real Love, a lot like girls do. It might not be manly, but it’s sweet.

We think the next three years will be very exciting and fruitful ones for you. Your spontaneous, creative side makes you a charming date, and we think you have a horny side just waiting to shine. Or glisten, rather. You enter new relationships unusually hopeful, and the first moments are especially glorious. If you’ve had some things not work out before, so what.

Your exact opposite:
The 5-Night Stand

Deliberate Brutal Sex Master
On paper, most gay guys would name the Boy Next Door as their ideal mate. In the real world, however, you’re often passed over for more dangerous or masculine men. You’re the typical “nice guy:” without just a touch of cockiness, you’re doomed with boys. A shoulder to cry on? Okay, sure. But never a penis to hold.

More than any other type, Boys Next Door evolve as they get older. As we said, many find true love, but some fail miserably in the search. These tarnished few grow up to be The Men Next Door, who are creepy as hell, offering backrubs to kids and what not.

But Enough About You

He started it. He responded. He copied. So will I.

Starting to gain weight again. Concerned. Less time to get to the gym. Two jobs are physically demanding. Actually enjoying restaurant work. Not sure what to do with the skill. Still need a vacation. Never know what to do with vacations. Never taken very many. Vacationing alone sucks. Life alone sucks. Fear thats the present and the future. Mentally preparing for that possibility. Hear the chronological clock ticking. Acts of slutaciousness cause depression. Love, not sex. Need to feel desired. Feel nothing. Feel professionally competent, qualified, creative, innovative, capable. A leader. Would have been heteroly married eons ago. Women get it. Men dont. Personally feel inadequate, invisible, intimidate/-ing/-ed. Social outsider. Never enough. Move on in spite. Need to act. Need to write. Need to see more creativity expressed. Need space. Need nature. Too needy?

Ten Things

For no particular reason other than the fact that I was thinking about them, and not necessarily in any order, I share with you ten long range goals.

1. Visit all 50 states.
2. Buy a house.
3. Write a stage play.
4. Have that play produced.
5. Get another speaking role on a network television show.
6. Help plan a family reunion.
7. Create a regular podcast series.
8. Utilize my culinary skills to generate a viable income.
9. Adopt a child.
10. Learn to speak French.

The easy out is to say I hope to accomplish them before I die, but thats too open-ended. Instead Ill set five, ten and 15 year timetables, with the possibility some may be accomplished within the next 12 months, and others may take longer than 15 years.

Ill keep you posted.

My Foolish Heart

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.
You’d like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful… that you’ll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future… one you can grow with.
Your risk of cheating is low. Even if you’re tempted, you’d try hard not to do it.
You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You’ll do anything for love, but you won’t fall for it easily.
What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

I don’t agree with the line about marriage, but otherwise it’s on the mark.
