Boo! Hiss!

Jeffrey won on Project Runway. Talk about enabling dysfunctional people. His insufferably boorish behavior will only get worse.

Our favorite, Michael, seemed to crack under the pressure. His Fashion Week showing was not an example of his best work. Laura, gave us upscale elegance, but nothing we haven’t seen before. Uli was my pick then by default, and her stuff was worthy of victory, but they saw something in Jeffrey they liked better. Whatever!

Well, at least it was several weeks of entertaining television.

I loved both Laura and Uli’s presentations. I hated Jeffrey’s and was so disappointed by Michael. I think all of our expectations were too high for Michael to live up to and he definitely melted under pressure.

What irritates me is the Nina, Michael and Heidi all loved the clothes that Uli and Laura created. They said that every single piece Laura and Uli had were exquisite and they would definitely be sold and worn. But they hated at least 2 of Jeffrey’s pieces and he went over budget. So I wish they’d said “yes Uli and Laura both did a better job overall but we’re giving the win to Jeffrey because X, Y, Z.”

They were making up for choosing Chloe over the more controversial Santino last season. She was simple and clean, and he was edgy and in your face.

Uli shoulda won but its obvious they want to endorse someone that is going to push the limits.

The Other Half says he’s not sure if his feelings about the win are because of the clothes or because he can’t stand Jeffrey as an (alleged) human being. I was rooting for Uli (Laura was great, but more of the same/what we’ve come to expect from her). Poor Michael! Maybe he needed to stay in NYC and not go back to the ATL (and his designing for video hootchies roots)?

BTW: I predict that next season we’ll see Heidi wearing Michael’s (and Uli’s and Laura’s) clothes.
