I loved your comment on the question over there (well you kind of lost me with the last paragraph but that’s my own issue). I thought the same about the loaded wordings like “cookie cutter lifestyles.” Although this topic specifically pertains to men the same issues arrive within lesbian circles where monogamous and happy gets translated to “boring and wanna be straight” and non-monogamy and a sex-positive attitude gets made into “freak and amoral.”

Ha ha. My point being, can’t I enjoy a wild sex life (deemed a “marginalized community” pursuit) and also want the “mainstream” values of a partner and stable homelife?
