Grew up in a big family in a small town in upstate New York with a lot of love around. Graduated with honors from public school. Went to Syracuse University and studied journalism and political science.
I have worked as a radio and print journalist and government public relations spokesman. I have also been an actor and voice over announcer with commercial, stage (including Off Broadway), screen, television (including network television) and industrial credits. I still hold membership in all three actors unions. I do plan to act again, although these days I work for a non-profit social service agency.
I have also completed studies in Culinary Arts and Culinary Management. One day I may open a restaurant or catering business or do food writing.
I write short fiction, and have a bunch of screenplays and theatrical plays in various stages of writing development. I'll finish them one day.
I'm a die-hard sports fan who roots for the New York Giants, Mets, Knicks, Rangers, and Syracuse University basketball and football. I love independent, classic and foreign films (and usually pass on the "Hollywood" films; they're going to wind up on cable soon enough anyway); food, cooking and eating out in good restaurants; theatre, dance, art exhibits and museums; traditional jazz; politics and community activism. I went sky diving two years ago and have to do that again. I want to travel more. A travel companion would be nice.
I'm single and live in Harlem. I want to own a home someday, preferably back upstate. I'd like to adopt and raise kids too.
Anything else you want to know, you have to spend time getting to know me.
