The release is weak. The allegations were obviously true, at least, as far as risky sexual conduct.

Instead of learning from this incident, it seems that they are going to attempt to defend the indefensible.

Interesting...but not convincing.

Let's look at this press release:

"Last week, a free local paper incorrectly reported that officials linked the CocoDorm to STD and HIV transmissions. This report was slanderous and defamatory, and the allegations made within the article were unfounded and untrue."

FIrst of all, why not just sue the Chicago Free Press? These are not light allegations and one would think that this story — if untrue — would be the catalyst for a major lawsuit by Flavaworks.

"Additionally, FlavaWorks believes that the City of Chicago has never welcomed the Dorm. The City has denied the Chicago office a business license on multiple occasions."

Why did Flavaworks/Cocodorm just PUBLICLY ADMIT that they have been operating unlawfully? Either the writer of the press release is stupid or the release was put out so fast they didn't realize that such a statement could put them in hot water not only with Chicago and Illinois authorities but the IRS.

"Contrary to the article, there has never been an HIV outbreak in the CocoDorm."

This is unprovable. Since HIV lies dormant, it is not possible to know if any of the models who may have been HIV positive but dormant might have unknowlingly spread HIV to HIV negative models.

"The CocoDorm has been a safe environment for over five years. Models are required to wear condoms while engaging in intercourse...."

This is a FLAT OUT LIE. Has the definition of "required" changed in the last few years? I guess the folk at Cocodorm "require" condoms when they are not shooting barebacking and cum swapping scenes for Dorm Life 6, 7, 8, Brieon Raw, or Raw Thugs 1, 2 and 3. I am shocked you did not call them on this blatant lie. (Which begs the question: if they would tell an outrageous lie like this, how could you be so sure they honor their financial obligations?)

"....and are tested for STDs and HIV upon arrival. "

This begs the question: since when? Have they always been tested? If they are tested upon arrival, are they continually tested throughout their time at the dorm? Also, during their time at the dorm, did they only engage in sex with other dorm participants? For those who went home and returned to the dorm, were they RETESTED before entering the dorm again? And were prior dorm members who were not tested and allowed to come back to the dorm tested their second or third go around? These are all legitimate questions that their simple statement of testing the models upon arrival do not stack up to scrutiny.

" There is no proof that any model has ever contracted HIV while at the dorm."

But is there any proof that they did not?

"Models enjoy their time at the Dorm and are paid well. They are given bed linens and food at no cost, contrary to what was printed in the article, and are additionally given complimentary airfare to and from the Dorm, and entertainment such as games and outings to the cinema and clubs. In fact, many models that have resided at the Cocodorm ask to come back."

This is suspect, at the very least. I know many former Cocoboy/Cocodorm models and they all describe the owner (Phil Bleicher) as an asshole, regularly complained about the contracts and his mobster-like enforcement of the rules (especially threatening them with lawsuits if they broke contract while not living up to his end of the bargain), and that conditions in the dorm were less than ideal. And the fact that many models have asked to come back may be keeping in line with how many of them usually were in not good financial situations, had no jobs or had no place to go.

Many ex-Cocoboyz and Cocodorm models with whom I have spoken over the years have not gone public because they fear Phil Bleicher's power and money, not so much because they have something to hide. And if any are HIV positive, Brown's coming forward does not mean that their identities are being compromised or even that it was their decision for him to go public.

If the Cocodorm press release is any indication, it is not a reasonable response at all, but rather one full of easily provable lies and half-truths.

For those of you who don't know. I live in Chicago and there was inclement weather on that day. The Dorm was shown on the news. The facade of the building caved.

Philip Bleicher exploits the models, I use to be his silent partner and "front man" and I am coming clean because I am tired of his abuse and lies. He has a new "front man" Mr. Yetu Robinson. First he changed the name of his company from Luke Baby (LBPI) because of federal tax liens and then he had to close the Student Leadership council before he was indicted for theft, fraud and more and now he has dissapeared in the middle of the night before the Chicago Officials could close him down...he is on the run now and in Miami, but the truth will come out when the Grand Jury investigating him hands down an indictment and he finally gets what he deserves.

I find it to be terribly disturbing that anyone would waste the time and energy to publicly express their hate for any individual in this world. We live in an era where our Constitution grants us the right to free speach and it's at each person's discretion as to how you exercise that right. This morning I was taken back to discover some shamefully disrespectful person took it upon themselves to use me as a tool to lash out at my employer.
